Notice of Dispute checklist

1. Use PayPal’s own Notice of Dispute form and complete every field it asks for.
2. Sign it by hand: an original handwritten signature (and your lawyer’s too, if you have one).
3. Give the email address and phone number on your PayPal account.
4. Describe the nature and basis of your claim in detail: hold date, amount, what you sent and when.
5. State the specific relief you want, with a good-faith calculation (for example the balance held, less chargebacks received).
6. Attach relevant documents you can reasonably get: this letter, your evidence pack, your release-date log.
7. If a lawyer sends it, add your signed written authorisation for PayPal to discuss your account with them.
8. Send it by certified mail to the address above and keep the receipt and a copy.
9. Diary 60 days from PayPal’s receipt of a complete notice: the good-faith negotiation period before arbitration or small claims.
